My first interview was with Staples, didn't get a call back.
Second was Subway, nothing. The Source, uh uh.
Baby-sitting, kinda got the job but the employer didn't respond after sending me an email saying I was hired.
Zellers: Sales Associate, nadda.
Sears: Sales Associate-> Jewelry Department, nope.
Salsbury House, maybe next time.
And next time indeed. By this point I was kinda let down and maybe starting to develop a small hatred for interviews altogether, I decided to try whatever I felt like doing the next time. Whatever being the infamous phrase "When do I start?" when asked "Do you have any questions?"
And that's what I did. My next interview was on December 28th, 2010 at 11 am. It was for a new Mini Donuts shop that was just opening. And as soon as I said it, they seemed to have stop smiling and stared at me as if I had just burst into flames. For the rest of the day, I wish I had.
Then, on January 4th, 2011. I got a phone call from them saying that I got the job and believe me I was more than thrilled. I couldn't believe it! So as much of a happy camper that I was, I decided to start writing down about future interviews and what the interviewers reactions would be when I say that
Well, good luck with job hunting my unemployed friends!
